Venue

The Paideia-Galiza Foundation and the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of A Coruña will host the ninth edition of the International Workshop on Entrepreneurship Research (GEM-ACEDE).

The Paideia Galiza Foundation was established in 1986 as an open space for debate and reflection on topics, especially in the human and social sciences. It was born and built with the contributions of professionals from different fields of knowledge, which has allowed them to work intensively at the intersection of disciplines, practices, and discourses.

Since its beginnings, the actions and projects of the Paideia Galiza Foundation have been driven by the vocation of public service and entrepreneurship, taking self-critical, reflective knowledge as a guiding thread. Paying good ear and attention to the needs and social demands, analyzing and interpreting them in terms of opportunities, intervention, and promotion of actions, and through an integral, innovative, and interdisciplinary view. Reiterating our commitment to a social vision of the economy without dichotomies between what we understand as social and economic entrepreneurs, promoting, encouraging, strengthening, and consolidating small social economy projects and sustainable development.

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEE) is a center of the University of A Coruña whose purpose is to provide updated and quality higher education, basic and applied research of excellence, transfer to companies and public organizations, and the dissemination of knowledge to society in the areas of economics and business.

The FEE offers training in the degrees of Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, and Business Sciences. Students can follow a pathway with teaching in English and obtain a degree in Business Administration and Management and a BA (Hons) in Business and Management from the University of South Wales (UK), or take simultaneous programs in Business Administration and Law and in Tourism and Business Sciences. This faculty is one of the first to offer the Open Degree in Social and Legal Sciences, in which students can choose subjects from various degrees to configure an individualized curriculum more in line with their personal and professional interests.

In terms of postgraduate programs, FEE offers university master’s degrees in Banking and Finance, Accounting and Auditing, Business Management and Administration, and Economics, with the possibility of obtaining the two degrees of Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in International Negotiation and Business Development from the Rennes Business School (France) or Master of Jurisprudence in Corporate & Business Law from Widener University (USA). In addition, the FEE has its own postgraduate degrees on current topics such as innovation, sustainability, or digital strategy. Postgraduate training is completed with the inter-university Doctoral Program in Economic Analysis and Business Strategy, with the participation of the most prominent and active researchers of the Galician University System.
