Rachida Justo

Rachida is Professor of Social Entrepreneurship at IE University, Director of the Impact Bridge- IE Chair in Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing at IE University and of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management Association. She holds a PhD from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and received the Extraordinary Prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis in 2008. Her research, focused on social entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurship, has been published in the best academic journals of Business Administration, as well as in several books and book chapters published by internationally renowned publishers. Her academic work has received several recognitions and awards, both national and international, and she is an associate editor of The Journal of Business Venturing and The Journal of Business Venturing Insights.

Rachida translates the results of her research into the classroom, where she teaches Entrepreneurial Management and Social Entrepreneurship at the undergraduate, graduate, executive and Phd levels. He also performs consulting work of relevance for the design of public policies. She has prepared reports for organizations such as the OECD, Caixabank, Credit Swiss and the Spanish Ministry of Equality. She has been academic director of BBVA's Momentum accelerator for social enterprises in five countries, and a member of GECES, an expert group on social entrepreneurship of the European Commission. She has been Director of the Entrepreneurship Department at IE and is currently Director of the Entrepreneurship Division of the Academy of Management Association.

Jose Ernesto Amoros

Ernesto is Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty at EGADE Business School and Leader of the Research Group (GI) in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with Impact at the School of Business of the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico).

In his work of scientific dissemination, he has written more than 50 articles published in the most relevant academic journals in the field of entrepreneurship and business management. He is editor of Management Research, Journal of Iberoamerican Academy of Management. He is co-author of more than 30 monographs on entrepreneurial dynamics. He is a member of the National System of Researchers of Conahcyt, Mexico and visiting professor at several Latin American and European universities.

Ernesto has been president of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (GERA), the association that manages the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) project, where he has also participated in the research committees. As a member of the GEM project, he has participated in the evaluation of public policies on entrepreneurship in several countries. He is Vice President of the Ibero-American Academy of Management, and a member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of International Business and the International Council of Small Business.

He has been professor and director of the Entrepreneurship Institute of the Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile), researcher at the Entrepreneurship Center of the Business School of the Universidad Adolfo Ibánez (Chile) and guest researcher at the World Institute for Development Economics Research of the United Nations University (UNU-WIDER) and in projects associated with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank and the European Union.

David Urbano

David Urbano is Professor of Entrepreneurship, ICREA-Academia Researcher, and Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Research (CREIS) (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona -UAB-). He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (UAB / Växjö University -Sweden), a MA in Applied Research in Social and Cultural Anthropology (UAB), and a BA in Economics and Business (UAB). He currently serves on the Board of Directors at the European Council of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) and is a research fellow at IfM Bonn (Germany) and the Basque Observatory for Entrepreneurship (OVE-EBB). He regularly visits Haas School of Business (University of California Berkeley) and Trinity Business School (Trinity College Dublin).

David’s research mainly focuses on analyzing factors affecting entrepreneurship in different contexts, using institutional economics as a theoretical framework and combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies. His research has been published in multiple leading academic journals, and he has participated in the most relevant conferences in the area. He has supervised more than 25 doctoral and 40 master theses. David was named on the Stanford List among the top 2% most widely cited scientists in his discipline (2022).

David was Vice Dean of Entrepreneurship at the School of Economics and Business (UAB) and president of the Entrepreneurship Division at the Spanish Academy of Management (ACEDE). He currently teaches at the International Doctorate in Entrepreneurship and Management (iDEM) and masters (MAREB and MEINS), and other international courses. Nowadays, David also works as a consultant in entrepreneurship, innovation and SMEs in many projects of the Catalan and Spanish Governments, the European Union, OCDE and the private sector. He was co-founder and Director of the Centre for University Entrepreneurship -CIEU-FUAB (UAB) currently he leads the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation (UAB).
